about me

Welcome to the ‘about me’ section of the page. So far, I believe you know my name is Maider Izeta, but in the next few lines I hope you get to learn some about myself. I am a communicator/journalist, currently working for a newspaper in Spain. I write one page every day and I cover most of the social and/or cultural events taking place in my city. I attend press conferences on a regular basis (4 to 5 times a week); arrange interviews with writers, artists, musicians, politicians, actors/actresses…; cover strikes, demonstrations, music/movie festivals, etc…

Even though I wanted to be a pediatrician growing up, I soon realized I had a gift for expression and I was terrible in my Science class. That’s why I knew I would not be healing kids but rather writing about anything. Poems, songs, blogs, anything will do as long as I get to sit down and express what’s going through my mind.

Hobbies:

- Music (country, r&b, pop, rock, gospel, blues/jazz, classical, hip-hop…)
