I’m back home… time sure does fly when you’re having a good time. Besides all the trouble I had to go through because of the loss of my baggage, my trip to Canada has been a wonderful one. Not only did I enjoy my visit to Toronto, but I also had a good time meeting lots of people from all over the world. As soon as I get the chance, I will update some pictures from my visit.

Until then, take good care of yourself.

post Toronto (Canada)

This post will only be written in English… I apologize for the inconvenience, but I do not have time to write in both languages.

Anyway, here I am, in Toronto (Canada). I’ve been here for three days and I still haven’t received my baggage yet. Let’s go back to the day I departed from Barcelona for a better understanding of what I’m talking about. After ten days in La Pineda (a touristic place 45 minutes away from Barcelona), I left Spain on August 14th. Both flights were very smooth but, when I go to the airport, I found out my luggage was delayed. It’s not the first time it’s happened to me, as a matter of fact, my luggage was delayed three times last year during my trip across the USA. So, I didn’t cry this time, but I was really pissed it happened again.

I got to the hostel I’m staying at (Clarence Castle) only to find out my initial traveling plans would have to change as well. It was too much to handle in just one day and I really didn’t know what to do. Fortunately, there are very friendly people in this hostel and I met a really nice Polish guy that treated me to tea (we’ve been visiting the city together). After a walk and some chatting, I was feeling much better and I wasn’t so worried anymore.

That has mainly been the bad side of the trip, but other than that things are going great over here. I’m loving Canada, in my opinion, it’s a better version of the United States. Cars, highways, streets, buildings… look pretty much the same, but the environment in completely different. Toronto is a clean city, you’ll see recycling bins everywhere. I was quite shock when I saw that I must say.

I went to the Niagara Falls yesterday with a Greek guy I’ve met at the hostel too. We spent the day there, enjoying the great views and getting soaked at the Maid of the Mist cruise. And then I came back to Toronto. He spent the night there.

I’ll have to wrap up now, as I don’t have much time to write. But I will keep you updated with my experiences here.
